Q&A for Narrative/Structure - Aaron
How is the game structured - does it have levels?
This game consists of numerous levels that are connected in sequences for the main story missions, these missions can be chosen in the base camp screen, and can be replayed as many time to obtain higher scores.
Do you have to follow a set path to complete the game?
The game is quite linear as to you have to beat one level to get to another, and also because it’s a side scrolling game.
How much freedom do you have to explore the game world?
The game doesn’t offer much when it comes to free roaming, but you’ll generally discover new actions (or rhythm power) you can use to alter the level you played through before.
Q&A for Visual Style/Looks - Myself
What does the game look like - it's image and style?
The art direction utilizes a simple cartoony silhouette style, kind of like the ones in a shadow puppet show, which works effectively for a side scrolling game.
How does the visual affect the player?
The art style almost makes you forget that you’re playing your average side scroller, and more like engaging in an interactive cartoon, due to the fact of the actual Patapon creatures being really iconic, being as are just one big lone eye with arms and legs.
